Mischki is here!
I just went to Arbor View Animal Hospital in Valparaiso, IN., about an hour away from where I live. The nurses and vets were very helpful, talking to me over the phone about food and other questions I had. They were very accommodating when I needed to change my appointment. The vet worked during his lunch so that I could get my chinchilla looked at as soon as possible.
When I got there, they looked at Mischki right away, first to check because she wasn't eating for two days. Then a few minutes later we went into an examination room, and the vet had a nurse help him examine Mischki. They were both really kind (even when Mischki bit the nurse!) and gave me cost estimates before they did anything other than examine Mischki.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and all the vets there specialize in exotics and have worked with chinchillas in the past. They are going to be my vet I take her to from now on.
