Mt Rushmore:

Mt Rushmore was beautiful! We had a joke about the bluffs of LaCrosse and despite the jokes I thought the Mt Rushmore area looked a great deal like Wisconsin's Dells and the LaCrosse area.

The badlands was SO interesting! you saw both plains and the mountains. AND super cute Prarie Dogs! woot!! woot!

We stayed overnight in a cabin in the badlands! Arrived late Sunday night but didn't miss any of the splendor of it:

I felt a very strong connection with my God and the beauty of Mother Earth in the badlands.

Sandi was in buying some snacks, the door was locked and when I tried to see if Tawana wanted any snacks we couldn't get the door open and then the alarm went off! We certainly were the live of the party in Minnesota! LOL!

Next time Stack -- we saved bunches of stuff for the next visit. We didn't make it into the wind caves, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Wounded Knee, the mammoth dig, Desmet, Falls Park, Fort Randall, Deadwood, etc., etc. Laurie is already planning her next trip. LOL

I'm just grateful the weather was as beautiful as it was. We missed a complete wash out by only 1 day!

Oh wow! I hope you gals had such a great time. It surely looks beautiful. I've never been to that part of the country, I'd absolutely love to go one day.
