Hi, all!

I was a member on Chin-n-Quills back in the day; I didn't post much, but I did a lot of reading. I thought I had registered here when the site moved, but when I tried to log on to post a message, I found out I wasn't a member, so here I am! :)

I have one chinchilla named Dezzy; I'm not sure how old she is. I think she's seven or eight years old; I got her from my sister who bought her from a pet store. I've had Dezzy for four and a half to five years now, and I absolutely adore her.

She got really sick in the fall of 2010 and that's when I found out she has malo; she had to have a few teeth filings and she was in pretty rough shape for awhile, but she is doing really well right now. I treasure every day! She's a hoot. She's a little naughty a quite a bit spunky, so she keeps me on my toes!

Here's a couple pictures.

Welcome. That second pic of her is adorable. You can see she has a ton of personality.

Thanks for the kind welcomes! It's really interesting to me that you say you can see her personality in the pictures. Every time I've introduced her to a chinchilla-virgin friend, the very first thing they say when they see her is "Wow! She has a personality!" These people didn't know what to expect--they thought she'd just sit there like a bump on the log or something, but she came right down to the door and cocked her head to the side as she gave them a look over.

Interesting side note, she LOVES men with beards! She's constantly standing on her tip-toes so she can groom their faces (which the guys play along with very nicely).

Welcome (back?) to CnH. :)

Just a heads up - if you don't post occasionally, your account will be purged. We do a routine housekeeping of the forum and anybody who hasn't posted or hasn't posted in a long time ends up getting their account deleted for inactivity. If you want to stay active, post once in a while and that won't happen.

Thanks for the explanation, Tunes. I didn't know the system was purged like that--I'll try to post more regularly.

:welcomewagon:

I just read your post about Dezzy's malo journey on another thread. I think she is quite lucky to have found you! Doesn't look like she's hurtin for toys, either. ;)
