My Marbelli is 1 year now and I noticed tonight while on playtime out of his cage his stool was very soft and sticking together.. Now, I must say our Daughter is staying with while on a short break from school, so I'm sure too many treats might be the culprit here. After a long discussion with her decided only one of us can give the treats..
So now my question is how long should I wait before I take him into the exotic pet Dr, if he does not improve?
Also, just oxbow pellets and hay for now? He has a black ash chew toy in his cage.. Thanks for any help..:)

I don't know what the rest of your post means? Did you mean to copy and paste it here? Anyway, glad you caught the treat issue. I would remove the pellets and feed strictly fresh hay for a few days until it clears up.

What kind of treats has he been getting? I would also recommend what Sandi said to remove the pellets and give unlimited hay for the next couple of days. If it does not harden up in a couple days I would take him to the vet for a stool check. Some recommend trying pet pectillin.

For loose poo I start by using the pet pectillin .3ml twice a day for a couple of days, if it does not clear up the chin goes to the vet to check for bacterial or parasitic infections.
