Snake Repellant

Is there any kind of natural snake repellant? Last year we had a copper head come in our house when a back door was left open (now my grandmother is afraid to go on the back porch the door was left open to).

Get a mongoose! No, really, I don't know. I'm not afraid of snakes but I would NOT want a copperhead in my house. Maybe call your department of agriculture and see if they have any info for you.

IDK, I was thinking maybe putting some ferret poo around outside would deter him?

Don't know if it'll work for snakes, for sure, but for skunks, rats, mice, and I think even possum, if you know someone with ferrets, get their "cage cleanings" and scatter it under you porch, anywhere you think they may go! Natural enemies! Then snakes don't have a "trail" to trace, either!
Should at least make Granny feel better!
