So I have a male chinchilla who is one and a half. Kai. I bought him from a breeder and I have his whole blood line or whatever but I don't know much about that kind of stuff. He was bred to be a show chin but was attacked by his brother which resulted in tattered ears and a small bald spot so he couldn't be used for shows. So now he's mine
My mom has a female chinchilla that she got from a pet store. She is downsizing and is going to give her and her cage to me. I won't put them together in the same cage for awhile as I know it takes awhile to get them to be cage mates but that is my ultimate goal. I want them to share a cage.
So if that is the case, should I get him fixed ? I don't want them to have babies because I don't have time for all of that. But I think Kai may be traumatized from getting fixed so I'm not sure.
