So..I'm not usually lucky enough to score bargains..but while trolling CL a few days ago I nabbed a Ferret Nation in great condition for $50. Just thought I would share some of my glory.

Not that I actually need another one...but hey, who could pass that up! Now I just need more chins to fill it up!

I never get deals either and up here people want as much or more than they paid for something. $50 used cage around here would be a hamster cage.

You could always set it up as a play centre for your chins. I used to have a cage set up just for that and my guys loved exploring it when they were out and about. Had to put it away since Buster & Rupert came along b/c they are in separate big cages now and I have absolutely no more floor space for anything, not even a hamster cage.

That's a good idea :)) If anything I can just keep it in storage as a just in case, incase I should need to separate one of my pairs. *knock on wood* I was also considering breaking it apart and adding it onto my 142's to make some 143's....but I'm not sure if my ceilings are high enough and I know I'm not tall enough.

This is my temp cage that is in storage but when I had the space I left it set up b/c the boys seemed to really like hanging out in there. I was going to pack it all away and then I noticed that they were always checking it out when they were out and I thought it a bit strange b/c you'd think that coming out of their own cage that they'd love to roam free around the room but they hung out a lot in that cage. I miss having it set up b/c I used to sit on the couch, put my arm in the cage and the boys would sit on my arm or groom me. :(

Stacie, have you seen Aimee's 143's lately? She calls it her "Hollywood Squares" of chins! She took the storage legs off so that she could better reach the tops.

Here's a pic:

It's been suggested that she hire herself out as a chinnie room decorator, lol.

I would love to take the bottom storage parts off, but I'm not so sure I feel up to disassembling all the FN's to do so... You do have to take them all apart to do it, right?

Oh, yeah, she had them empty and laying on the ground to do it, lol. That is a major drawback, but look at how great it came out!!

:)

Just call Aimee to come up to your place and do it for you! ROFL!!
