School, family... evening it all out

Trying to even it all out!

Back to school after many years of being at home with the kids is hard, but mix that with a husband who's gone 8 days then home all of 6, and all the critters around here and it's nothing short of chaos!

Their homework, my homework, lunch money... LUNCH MONEY?! Who has time for lunch?!!!??

I'm setting up a planner to help get my schedule under control, and I use my kids to practice my A & P, lol talk about family time!

Got school? Kids? Family? Pets? What do you do to help manage it all? I'd love to hear!

Magnetic schedule board. Assign everyone (even you!) a color just for them and use that board as your command center for notes, permission slips, appointments, practice reminders, grocery list, etc.

Our school district has an awesome school calendar with "everything" that is school and parent-faculty assoc. (PFA) related which includes all half days, no school days, picture and special lunches, field trips, ISAT testings, sports games with locations, band functions and anything and everything PFA funded. HUGE help for us parents, I bought 3 of these calendars to keep at home, work & car! I add any other after school & out of discrict classes to THAT one calendar. I set alarms/reminders a week ahead of time on my iphone for anything related to me. I only have 2 chins (as of today) and they are in an area where we all see and interact with them every day. My husband is in charge of the pug as far as monthly heartworm and flea maintenance and whenever he needs shots. As for the rest of the little critters, I keep them in eyesight so as to not forget to "maintain" them.

We have those online and I keep one on the fridge ( the calendars ) to help me, the best helper I have for that is my oldest daughter!
