Any one know of scales that can measure accurately to a ten of a gram (0.1) that they would recommend?

Could use one for my chins, but it seems i could also use one to weigh a few coins.

Found this one. Seems decent. max 1000g. does .1 g increments And a half decent size plate.

saw this one too. but its smaller plate. While it has a max of 2000g instead of one, i dont see me needing to weight anything in that range

You can also try saveonscales.com I've ordered from them a couple times and have been pretty happy with the scales I've gotten :)

postal scales would work. I got a digital scale from Walmart (kitchen section) that works very well up to around 11 pounds and was $20-25. For big stuff I've got a scale my dad used to weigh refrigerant liquids and stuff when he was an HVAC tech. It's got a big plate, I believe can go to .01 oz on small stuff at least, but I've got no idea where to get them.

Horrible. Complete waste of time.

Packaged arrived half ripped. The case was damaged. And the scale wasn't even close to working properly. I set it on the ground and turned it on. With nothign on it it showed a -10g that kept changing by 0.1 - 0.3 g every few seconds. It kept doing that so long that it auto shut off. I tried placing it on a different surface, same time but different numbers. I put the 1kg calibration weight on it and it read 347g. I took it off and put it back on and it read 290g..

Yea... that item is going back. Was a bit to small for weighing a chin anyway.

Finding a good scale is getting rly annoying.

It is, so annoying. I understand your frustration.
I want one that takes AA or AAA batteries so I can get rechargeable ones for it. Weigh in 1 gram increments, and big enough for an 900+ gram chin to be able to sit on comfortably. If they aren't comfortable they are going to wiggly around and not give a correct reading.

checked out the scales in walmart. That was a waste of time. 90% of them didnt even measure in grams. The whole (i think) two units that did were 1g increments and quite small. This is getting frustrating...

Going to try this one now :/

1000g x 0.1g 6x6 inch plate

I just tried this scale today. It seemed to work pretty well. I would advise having a large container/bowl to sit on the scale to put the chin in. Even with that its hard to get my chins to stay still. But it seemed to be accurate and operated quite well. - Have to see how it handles over time now.

Weights are in!
