FedEx, UPS and US Postal Service Rates for all types and weights of packages. I found this article today, hope it helps someone out for shipping their holiday packages.

I recently tested out FedEx Home Delivery 2-Day Service myself for an oversized package -
Dimensions: 36" x 26" x 4"
Weight: 10 pounds
Total Shipping Cost: $10.91 - not bad

Surprisingly Fedex has always been the cheapest for me to send larger packages. Usually packages that are $15.00 to send by UPS, or USPS, are only about $11.50 to send by Fedex.

I agree but the other difference that I found between Fedex and UPS, depending on how important it is to you, is that Fedex will deliver within 2 business days (depending on where you live) and UPS quoted 3 days. So you save a few dollars and you get it there quicker. :D

Yep, FedEx or UPS are always cheaper than USPS for large and heavy packages. I do prefer FedEx as it tends to be a tad cheaper, and I always get my items quicker through FedEx than UPS.

On thing you need to consider though is where you live, and where the people receiving the package live. Because of where my mom lives, if it's not the most urgent one ( overnight I think ) for FedEx they only go there once very week or two weeks because it's a "low package area"... yea, well that's really nice when there is something in that package you're WAITING for or NEED, instead it sits in a warehouse an hour away until there are "enough packages" in that area.
