I haven't done this but I was wondering do people rotate or move ledges to give variety? I was worrying If I do that she will jump for a ledge thinking it is still there....none of my ledges and her cage is super tall for falling issues...just wondering what others do
TY

I usually change things around when the chinnies decide to destroy their cage :D They always know when i move things because they watch like hawks as i move everything around, then they inspect when i move away :D

When I clean every week, I usually switch things up a little!

TY I think I will move the ledges sometimes she seems to get destructive and bored even though I have a ton of toys in there !!

for some reason I had this scenario in my head that she would leap and think there was a ledge still there lol

Mine have definitely jumped up at a ledge that didn't exist anymore... I was replacing a wire shelf with a couple of those wooden ledges, and they still jumped up thinking that whole side of the cage was covered... the little guy ended up upside down with his head stuck behind his sleeping hut and eventually he backed himself out, and jumped again for the missing ledge... eventually he learned though hehehe

i recently took a couple wood ledges out of Rhino's cage that i hadn't seen him using at all, and gave them to Guss because Guss's cage just had fleece covered wire mesh shelves (and Guss was peeing on on of them, yuck!) that i wanted to replace. well wouldn't you know...... soon as those shelves were out of Rhino's cage, he jumps right to where one of them was before! lol. had a little fall (less than a foot), looked a little bit dazed and confused for a second, then looked up where the shelf used to be, kacked, and never made the same mistake again. what a silly chin! kacking at the invisible shelf.......
