Laurie
I heart Leonard
He's been on death row for 25 years. He will be the 3rd man executed by firing squad in 33 years.
I support the death penalty, if you don't, too bad.
This is what irritated me in the clipping I read:
Corrections officials announced Gardner had consumed his last meal Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m., and has elected to fast prior to the anticipated execution. His dinner included steak, lobster, 7-Up, apple pie and vanilla ice cream.
As he awaited execution, Gardner watched the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy in an observational cell and read a novel by David Baldacci entitled "Divine Justice," said Utah Department of Corrections spokesman Steve Gehrke.
Wow steak and lobster for your last meal?!
My sister's last meal was 3 bites of mandarin oranges out of the can. She was too weak to eat anything and that last meal came on Sunday afternoon, she died early Wednesday morning.
Garner got to watch the LLR trilogy and read a nice novel--again wonder if the man he killed got to see LLR trilogy? oh of course not, since he's been dead the past 25 years.
I hope you cannot sleep Ronnie Lee. I hope you are awake in fear of what may greet you on the other side--hope you're used to the Utah heat, most likely where you're going it's a lot hotter.
