Rocks?

Another question, I have a ton of rocks. Huge ones! Lapidary is my addiction and hobby. I take a rock off the ground and make it into a wire wrapped pendant. My question is.............I can make a pretend mountain and tunnels for Izzy to climb, run through and jump on. Will it be safe for him? I have petrified wood and stuff. Of course I will make sure there are no sharp edges that he can get cut on. What do you think?

I have used large river rocks in cages before, I scrubbed and boiled them and made sure they were in a safe location of the cage and they were too hard to chew. Birdsontherocks here sells stone perches that alot of members have, they are a chin fave. The wood I would not use, just because (lame excuse).

As long as it's clean there wouldn't be an issue. Well, I guess the rocks could end up being too heavy for the cage if you put enough in, but you probably wouldn't do that.

How are you going to get the rocks to stay mountain shape-ish and not fall over when your chin climbs on them?

I would make sure that all of the rocks that aren't right on the bottom be securely fastened so that they can not come tumbling down on top of the chinchilla.
