How sad! I grew up watching the Golden Girls. At least she died peacefully surrounded by family.

Aww - I'm sorry to hear that. I loved Golden girls as well. Only Betty White is left now.

OHHHHH I loved her! Rest in Peace RUE..I had no idea she passed on.

I loved her in everything, even when I was very young I used to watch Archie Bunker and Maude and the Jeffersons. I loved her in Maude and the Golden Girls.

As sad as this is, I'm glad she passed after her stroke and didn't suffer as sometimes some stroke victims do.
