RIP Cinnamon, my special hammy :(

Well today I had to do one of the hardest things I ever had to do....I had to take Cinnamon to the vet. Cinnamon was a Robo hamster. Her sister attacked her and injured Cinnamon's leg to the point that she could no longer walk. She was having a terrible time getting around, she dragged her legs and moved close to her food dish and water bottle. I took her to the vet so she would suffer no longer.
The vet said I did the right thing because there was nothing they could do for her. Her leg had gangrene and she would have died from a serious infection. I just can't believe that they would fight, they have been together since birth. They are the cutest lil hamsters in the world too. I will miss Cinnamon and I know she will have a happy life in hammy heaven. :cry3:

I'm so sorry to hear about Cinnamon. You did the right thing .She is happy and pain free now, she is probable playing at the Rainbow bridge:hug2:

I am so sorry you had to make the tough decision to put Cinnamon down, but obviously, it was the right decision to make for her. I had a hammy die recently due to old age, and they are such great little pets and they really leave a hole in our hearts when they are gone. May she rest in peace and be forever in your heart.

Aww thank you both so much. Yes, even though they are soooo small, they still impact our lives. I will miss her because she was one of my friendliest hamsters and always came to see me at the cage door. She is a much better place now, running in her little wheel.
