Hello guys. One of my girls managed to sneak a pregnancy by me, and I found a baby girl in her cage yesterday. She's a big beautiful violet girl (64 grams!), but I'm worried about her. Her urethra is really red and I think a little bit swollen. I don't see any lacerations on it at all, and I'm hoping she didn't somehow get an infection. I've held a warm compress on it, but there's nothing to clean off.
I was hoping it just got a little irritated, maybe with my first time mommy being too rough. It looked no better this morning though. Any thoughts to what's happening, and what I can do to help? I'm going to try and get her to urinate when I get home from work, just to make sure she can.
