Quality cages

I have a cage from Quality Cages and love it. Check out their website, they have some nice ones.

For your breeding animals, you will need baby-safe cages with wire spacing 1/2" x 1" or smaller... anything larger and kits can squeeze through and escape. I had some of my cages custom made by a man in my town who makes rabbit/guinea pig/chinchilla cages. I believe Quality Cage, KW Cage, and Custom Cage Works can all make baby-safe cages also. Since you just bought 8 more breeding chinchillas, I am assuming you planned ahead and already have cages for your breeding animals which they should currently be in.

For pets, some of the favorites are Quality Cage Mansions and Ferret Nations. I have used both and like both for different reasons. I have found that it is more difficult to put ledges, tubes, toys, etc. where I want in the Ferret Nation because the horizontal bars only go across a few locations on each level... so I'm kind of limited. However, the full-opening doors make it much easier to get in the cage, clean, move things around, etc. than reaching in the top or the smaller doors of the Quality Cage Mansion.

Also if your chins don't like to be picked up the high door on the quality cages might be a problem. Beaker doesn't like to be picked up and held so I bought extra jumpy ledges to attach to the outside of the cage by the door so she can jump back in during her play time. Just an FYI :)
