It's been raining here for 2 weeks straighten. It wasn't suppose to rain on Tuesday, but it did. It suppose to continued to rain until this sunday.
There's been horrible storms all day today.
This morning I almost got hit by lightening. I was running out before the bus got here to check if my windows were up on my car (it wasn't suppose to rain and I had them down yesterday) As I'm running out there, lightening hits the ground a couple inches in front of me. (or very close to the ground) I run back inside and my brother is laughing at me. asked if i saw the lightening hit the ground duh I saw it.
It's getting bad here..flooded roads, 1 house destoryed by a land slide, a dam to a 3 acre pond broke open, 1 river has flooded, 1 river (that was dried up from last year) is about 3 inches from flooding, and there some other things I can't think of. Cows are having to be relocated to higher ground due to flooding gorunds. It still suppose to run throughout the night, all day Saturday, and into the morning of Sunday. it's terrible.

I'm tired of the rain and want it to go away.

I'll try and scan the pictures from the paper and post them. There's only a few of some of the damage around the county.

Yuck! It's such a bummer to have that much rain all at once! I guess all you can do is just keep thinking about all the pretty flowers that will come after!

Eek! The rain if fine if I don't have to drive, or have plans that involve me going outside LOL. I know So.California needs the rain, but I just hate how it restricts us so much. I'm sorry you're getting so much rain.

You should try living in NW Washington! We have days on end of rain throughout the entire year! I guess that is why we are the evergreen state.

I thought it was "April showers . . ." We've been pretty wet here, too. Thankfully, though, nothing like you guys and the damage. Our biggest problem is trying to get the grass cut in between showers before it's taller than my four-year old son. Hope you get dry soon.

the pictures below are of:

1.) Cows moving to higher lands due their normal grounds be taken over by flood waters.
2.) An earthen dam holding back a 3 acre farm pond gave away
3.) A house that was destoryed due to flooded water causing a landslide.

last three pictures:

1.) River flooded over and took over parking space for boat dock.
2.) A river flooded over and covered the road way
3.) A river that was dry last year very close to flooding

That is definitely a lot of rain! So sorry - flooding is such a disastrous event. We had flooding this winter where most of the town I live in was closed but had receded in a couple of days. I've never had my son miss school due to flooding before. I feel terrible for anyone affected by it. Good luck, hope the rain ends soon.

It didn't rain anymore until today according to my parents.

I went to Gulf Shores with my senior class. It was suppose to rain the whole time I was down there (which had me bummed) but it only rain for about 20 minutes the whole time I was there. And while I was raining I was taking a shower and stuff.

Wow that's insane! I can't believe how devastating the weather has been. It's been snowing on/off here the last 2 days, and Manitoba got inches of snow!

Sasha, it is time to move closer to me. How about B.C? You get the mountains, the Suan Juans, it's green, and it is not snowing!!!! I'm just below the border, south of Vancouver.

I live in Upstate NY and it's been raining here alot too, although I must admit we have got some days in between that were nice. But with all the rain, seems like all I'm doing is mowing my lawn because you all know what rainwater does for lawns. :hair:

Send it down here. We are still in brush fire season and dry. We had it rain all day the other day and canals ponds and lakes are still dry.
