I saw something I never saw before, no big deal but I thought I'd tell you guys about it. I saw steel zip ties instead of the usual plastic at Lowes, that would come in handy installing tubes and stuff in cages. Just so you know you can attach them to each other so 3 8 inch ties can be about 21 inches. Of course always trim off the excess so their eyes don't get poked

I didn't buy them, but yeah I am 99% sure they are zip ties. If anyone isn't able to find them I will be glad to find out more info, buy some and send them to you

Yeah they are zip ties, and totally awesome! I haven't used them for chin cages but have for other things. I got mine at home depot, but hadn't heard of them until then.

The steel ones are very awesome for hanging chin things and if you ever need to zip tie for a temp fix on a chins cage, if you need one. I find mine at Lowes and Home Depot

Those things are amazing - they've been great for reinforcing our temp cages, and we've also used them to mount hardware cloth in cages and plastic carriers. The only downside is the price, especially if you need a lot of them.

100 0f the 8" = $ .356 ea. - when would someone use 100?
Bet they're like $ .75 or $1 each if purchased separately, but worth it!

I would definitely keep 100 around. I go through zip ties like crazy. Maybe with the metal I wouldn't go through so many all the time. :p

Thanks for the tip! i was headed to lowes today anyway.... gotta get some of these :)
