i have can i have couple male and female chinchillas in one room but two cage will the male smell the female and fight each other?

First - Please don't post useless posts with a bunch of emoticons in them. It is a waste of my time to have to check them and for other people who are actually wanting to help someone.

Second - If you posted them because your stuff didn't show up right away, there is a reason for that which you agreed to when you joined the forum. Everyone goes through a filter for a set number of posts to be sure that they aren't spamming the forum, kind of like someone filling up a bunch of posts with emoticons because he wants attention.

Third - How can a male and a female in SEPARATE cages fight each other? If they are in separate cages, they can't touch each other. If you are referring to having two males in one cage and two females in a separate cage then yes it is possible the males will fight, though I have not had a high incidence of this myself.

males in one cage while females are in another can still cause males to fight sometimes. Fortunately iv only had it happen once or twice in several years. But it was while one of the girls was in heat. I had to separate the males for a few days.
