I have been seeing the post about bad luck with water bottles not working...my question is how do you know if one is working properly? When my chins drink I see bubbles going up to the top. Is that a good sign that the bottle is working properly:hmm:? Thank you!

Some water bottles 'gum up' and clog (dust, water deposit build up, chin fur), so when you tap the ball at the bottom of the spout, it either doesn't move or no water comes out. If your chin drinks and air bubbles are going to the top then your water bottle is working!

I've never had a problem with water bottle not working (in the 18 or so years that I've had a pet that requires a water bottle), but I still check daily just to make sure.

Yes, that's a good sign. Also, you can mark the the bottle at the water line every day to make sure they're drinking. I did this with a new water bottle just to make sure it was working properly.

I tap the ball every morning and every evening after filling, if water comes out and bubbles happen its all good.

My little one doesn't like the water coming out too fast so I purchased the glass Superpet water bottle that has a double bearing system. It has a floating duck so you can always see where the water level is.

I'm a fanatic and change the water every day. I figure if I will only drink fresh water then why shouldn't my little fuzzbutt.

I have found that rinsing it out daily that I don't have any issues.

I refill ours daily too and also tap the ball every morning after I refill it and every evening when I'm feeding.
