I wanted to get a terra cotta pot to put their hay in for right now. I saw some people saying to stay away from the ones made in China and Mexico. When I went to Lowes, I found two small ones, one from China, so I went with the other, it was made in Italy, it's slightly bigger but not too big. Anyone know if the ones made in Italy are ok?

and also, Anyone know What's the easiest way to fold up a QC Chinchilla Mansion?

There are no strict guidelines for making terracotta, so we have no way of knowing if the particular pot you bought is safe or not. Lowes and Home Depot sell lead testing kits, I would get one of those to make sure.

As for folding up the cage, take the wooden shelves out and remove the front of the cage and take the connectors off the top and bottom at the sides. You should then be able to fold the sides, top and bottom in. Then ziptie it all together so it remains flat.

Ok, And if it has any lead in it, don't use it?
I don't have anything right now to hold to hay, I had a plastic thing, but obviously threw that out. I may just lay it in one spot as they don't tend to touch much of it, they seem to eat more of the hay cubes.

Once I take the connectors off, is it easy for someone else to put the connectors on? I'm selling it, so I don't want to damage it, I assume if I take them off carefully they won't be damaged.

Thanks.
