I have switched all our spring latches to Quality Cage's EZ latches. I only used 1 per door (in the middle) because the door frame is rigid enough to keep spaces too small for escape minded chins. Besides being easier on those of us with older hands, it also allowed me to switch 1 of our 3 manisions to a left side hinge. It was against a wall on it's left side (looking from the front) and it was a pain to work around the door.
