I am thinking of putting magnets in my liners because they will not stay in place and i dont have enough things on the ground for all the corners, does anyone have any good ideas on how to put magnests into already made liners? Thanks

I would recommend getting more items to put in the corners, or putting on clips that can attack to the corners of the cage. Magnets are not the safest thing to be in a liner. If your chinchilla doesn't chew them, it may be ok, but what happens if he starts? If a chin ate the magnet I'm sure if could very well be deadly.

You can always get some cheap tiles from lowes for the corners. You can get them for about $.50-$1.00 a piece for the cheap ones, depending on the tile and the size.

You can also put a clip on each of the liners corners and clip them to the cage bars. Just stay away from magnets, if they eat two magnets it will rip up their intestines.

I was also going to suggest velcro. That's what most people use to keep their liners in place. You don't need to worry about the liners already being made, since you just attach it to the outside anyway. When you wash them, just be sure to fold them so the velcro attaches to itself to keep fuzz and lint off.

I jiust go to Lowe's and pick up two or three of the granite/marble floor tiles and have them cut them for me. Sometimes I go half tile, but the ones I picked up today I had cut into four small squares and the other into four 3 inch wide pieces. So that gives me 8 pieces to hold down fleece with.:)

my chinchillas have anger management issues and pull the fleece up regardless if there is tiles or not... its so annoying lol because i HAVE to fix it or it will drive me nuts

I never would have thought to fold it in on itself to keep off the fuzz and lint. What an incredibly good idea. It's sad on my part that it is pretty much common sense but the thought never even crossed my mind.

I use actual pieces of scrap granite that I get for free from kitchen remodeling centers. It's about an inch and a half thick and heavy. There's no way my chins can move it. I have gotten perfect 9inx9in or 12inx12in squares as well. Works for a cool spot in the cage and to keep the liner in place.
