Problems wit boys and girls in same room?

So, although we just got your first boy after already owning three girls, I am already wondering about future housing. For now he is in a cool basement while he is quarantined but we dont want to keep him down there alone if we dont have to. My question is: As long as we dont put their cages next to one another, can he be housed in the same room as the girls cage? Has there been behavioral issues with this great amounts of stress? I am worried about it. Thank you

I have my four girls and two boys housed in the same room and have no problem. There cages are on the opposite sides of the wall, my boys dont act any different, its like the girls arnt there and my girls are just brats but thats them anyway. For me personally there is no problem

As long as they're not close enough to mate through the bars, everything should be fine. Good luck with him.

Like said, as long as the amount of distance will prevent mating through the bars,there should be no issue. But, I can always suspect when my girls are in heat, because the boys get a bit antsy...

I have 4 boys in 1 cage one of them is neutered. The room houses around 30 girls. Their cage is next to 3 females with a card board in between the cages. Right now, knock on wood (taps head) they are no problems.

Of my 8 chins 3 are boys. I have boys on top of girls in one both cages and have noticed no problems, except for Leonard how can look "outside" and see the girls across the way. Sometimes he calls out and tries to get a girlfriend. But no go! I've also never noticed the boys acting out when the girls go into heat.

I have a cage of just boys in my chinchilla room. No problems (knock on wood)

Our boy and girl are about a foot from each other and have no problems. They toss hay and poo back and forth, talk to one another and Buddy loves to show off his monkey skillz in front of his Rose.

My girls and boys are caged next to each other they only noticed when I got a new girl, now that shes not new they pretty much ignore each other.
