my chin got pregnant in like june or july and just popped out 2 babies! they're both tiny but breaking, walking, and making noises. her last litter had a runt and it died 2 days later, i really dont want this to happen again especially since her mate just died): advice?!?

First, don't breed her again. If on the second attempt she is still having premature kits, I would not risk it.

Second, there isn't a whole lot you can do. Monitor their weight, make sure they are nursing, and then wait. This will be one of those judgement call times. Since they are premature, do you start hand feeding at least a little to be sure they are getting food? Or do you wait for mom to feed them so that you don't hamper her milk supply. Premies rarely have any reserves to fall back on, so be sure to keep a close eye on them.

Check the FAQ's for the one written on kit care and lay in the supplies so you will have them handy.

It is important to get a gram scale and get their weights. Take their weight daily at the same time each day to determine if they are gaining. Once you get their weight post it so we have an idea how "tiny" they are.

How bit are they? Are they really premature? If you don't know when she got bred it's really hard to say unless they're just tiny, but usually these types of kits don't have their eyes open yet.
