Potty Training?

I got my furbaby almost 3 weeks ago. His name is Stitch and I'd love to potty train him so I am able to move onto using fleece instead of messy bedding. He is still quite young (2 months) so I should be able to train him without any issue. But the question is how? I had a chinchilla before but I never dreamed of potty training him. Any and all tips would be appreciated.

I think some chins do naturally pick one particular spot to pee in, and you could put a small "litter box" in that spot for him. That might work. But he'll still poop everywhere....I dont even think chins notice when they're pooping, seeing how it happens every 30 seconds or so, lol

Find their pee corner. Put some shavings in a pan/dish of some kind.

My chin Lola successfully trained herself in 1 day to use a potty.

All I did was scoop up some litter that she had peed on and put it in the litter box. I put the box in the corner that was the spot she usually peed in and she did the rest.

Great having her litter box trained. Saves on litter because I only have to put litter in the litter box. I change the litter in the box every day. It's easy to clean the cage of poop with a dust pan and brush every day. The cage stays cleaner too.

If your little one likes the cage being clean and pees in a specific spot it's really easy to train them because they do the work.

I done the same thing.... took some shavings that my Pogo had pee earlier and he got it straight away he never pee anywhere else not even once from the moment I putted the literbox in his cage:thumbsup:
