On Friday he and his friends are going to see The Men Who Stare At Goats. Today he was in his room while I was managing my fabulous Cafe in Cafe World on Facebook and I hear this horrible OH NO! He comes out and I thought either the computer died or his bed broke (lol not sure why those came to mind but they did) I asked him what was wrong and he goes--well we're going to the movie Friday! And I say, yep I know. And he goes--New Moon comes out Friday!! LOL he's going to have to stand their with thousands of teeny girls and not so teeny ladies!

I had a darn good laugh--poor kid!

Then I had to remind him--Real Vampires Don't Sparkle!

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

Again, you did it. I thought something was really wrong and read through the post to find out that it's not THAT bad. He'll survive the sea of little teen girlies waiting in line.

I don't understand all the hype about it. Never got tempted once to rent the other Twilight movie. (Is that the name of it? I am getting old and out of it...)

Jess--all I can say is "Never say never"! Just ask Theresa--addictedtochins my werewolf theories LOL!

i would NOT even try & go to the movies this weekend.........teen girls filled with angst and hopes of a meeting a boy like sparkley edward, scare me!

We went and saw 2012 last night, the 7:30 showing, and when we came out, the lines were formed for the midnight showing of New Moon. There were teens, more 20's and up, and the teens were well behaved and patiently waiting for midnight to roll around. When you consider 2012 got out at 10:30, and the usher told us they started lining up at 9:30, I was pretty impressed. Not a lot of screaming and acting like fools.

Rhiannon and I are going to see New Moon, but I'll wait a week or so and hit a matinee instead. Not that fond of all those bodies pressed together coughing, sneezing, and squeeing over Edward/Jacob.

I'm sure my sister and I will go see it, just to see it. She's read the books, but I don't want to. I think the movies are okay. Like Laurie said, real vampires aren't supposed to sparkle, they'd burn up in the sun. I know vampires aren't real, but it goes against tradition and I find it weird. And I also get annoyed at how obsessed they are with each other. I mean, come on, no love is like that, and if it is, you've got some issues. It's not healthy to be so obsessed..

Just my opinions haha

Lol Laurie's not going Kristy.

My friend said they waited for 2 hrs for the midnight showing. It's retarded. If you already have tickets, why line up that early? Seriously...

Keith and I will be leaving in about a half hour to see New Moon. Can't wait!

If you already have tickets, why line up that early?

Because if you don't, you'll end up in the very front row of the theater with your head tipped back like a Pez dispenser, trying to see the movie. I am not happy to go to a movie if I can't sit last row, dead center. So I go plenty early to be sure I get that seat. Some people need to sit on the aisle seat because of an injury or claustrophobia. Buying your ticket in advance only assures you A seat, not THE seat that you want. For that you, have to wait in line.

2012 was good. It was pretty much nonstop action once it got going. It was long, 2-1/2 hours, but it didn't feel that long. There were some things that didn't really add anything to the movie that irritated me, but overall it was pretty decent.

Scary thing is, I can absolutely picture the governments and selection process just like they did it in this movie.

Everything I have heard about it said it is a LONG 2-1/2 hours. I have joint issues that disagree with my sitting in a movie theater seat for that long. I'll probably wait till it comes out on DVD. There is so much in the theater right now as it is!

Just wanted to say Stewart LOVED The Men Who Stare At Goats! He said at least 3 different times he and his friends laughed til they cried!
