A few weeks ago I had a thread about "desirable" poop size and it seemed to be the general consensus that large poops were good. I had another thread stating that I was switching Tinkerbell from Mazuri to Oxbow because the store stopped carrying the one and began offering the second. I had said I had to do a shortened transition because I didn't have enough Mazuri left to transition properly. She is on straight Oxbow now and her poops look good but are noticeably smaller. Does that mean anything in general? They look good otherwise, as plentiful and rounded, but on a smaller scale.

Thanks.

You can get acidophilus at the drug store, health store or Walmart. I get it in capsule form and just sprinkle the contents onto the chin's pellets. Get the one that has the highest active count. Some people use acidophilus that comes in chewable form and others use acidophilus that comes in liquid form.

I just bought chewable acidophilus and my chins are absolutely loving me. Tunes said she breaks one wafer into 4 pieces and gives one a day. Yay for treats that are secretly good for them! I got strawberry flavor and it really is a big hit. Plus, for $6.00 for 100 wafers it's a great deal.

All the liquid I found had a good amount of sugar in it. The wafers have less than 1 gram per wafer, and when broken into 4 it's barely any sugar at all. Plus now I know they are actually consuming the acidophilus instead of it just sinking to the bottom of their pellets.
