Hi,
Miffy my male chinchilla is causing me concern. He has been through an awful lot the last 8 weeks. He got a upper tract infection which has been treated, he then had to have an eye removed when the cataract he has had since I got him caused an issue - to top it all off his cage mate Lilly had to be put to sleep last week because of pneumonia. Until a few weeks ago I had 4 chinchillas for 7 years but this pneumonia has knocked them all about so I just have 2 let.
Anyway, my question is Miffy is finally eating again by himself, not huge amounts but enough that he is not losing weight his poo is worrying me. Most of the time it's normal, then an odd poo is mushy and the next one is tiny. This is all in the space of an hour, not days. The mushy one's smell but most of them are normal?
Any ideas?
Thanks
Michelle
