Some of you may have seen I'm running a sale on wood to pay for some registration fees... well I don't think I've really introduced her so meet Po.

I had a guy who owed me abt. $70 and I ended up with her instead, she was going to end up in a rescue. :( Sadly enough she's at least 90%+ foundation breed Quarter Horse. She's going to be two in May, and hasn't had her papers sent in, but I do have the application, so I need to get it in before it jumps totally sky high!

She's still a little thin, but is gaining really good gaining, dewormed her and got her shots, she's getting used to people, and still jumps when you touch her, but once you get to messing with her for a couple minutes she remembers this is all okay. She is double branded and her poor hind feet have scars, I'm guessing they roped and tied the foals to brand them and scared her. :impatient:

She still has a lot of growing to do.

Here she is under saddle, she's fast learner! This was her second "work out", we've been working on ground manners, lounging, and saddling, I've also been tying her around so she can learn circles are our friends, lol.

ETA: Wow, I just looked this over and you can see how much she's gained being here! The last photo was taking a week or two before the first ones and you can really tell she put on weight!

She's so pretty. Even I can see an improvement. Very nice.

That is good. What is sad is that the horse market is so crappy that horses like this are in the hands of owners who can't even feed or care for them.

Foundation bred refers to how much of their blood lines go back to what they call the Quarter Horse Foundation Stock, basically the horses that were the strong base of breeding for the breed. She can be registered with the Foundation as well. It's kind of a club that helps keep the blood lines pure and promotes breeding back to foundation to help preserve the breed as it was/is ideally meant to be.

she is beautiful! You can tell shes in good hands now by looking at her pics!

Thanks everyone!

I'm going to say she's around 14.3 at the withers, but about 15.1 at the hip, lol. So yea, she still has a lot of growing to do. The lounging is really helping her put on muscle and helping her fill out too., well and the pony and her chase each other around most of the day too, so she gets a lot of exercise! She just needed some love and food.

Lol don't you love this stage, where the butt's higher than the rest? I can't wait until I can have a horse again. I will.... One day.... Lol

She's beautiful! And so lucky to have found you to care for her! I can't believe how much weight she gained between the different pictures! Fantastic! :))

Pretty good deal there for $70.00 Nicole. I'd say you definitely got the better end of it. She's very pretty.
