Plywood?

The person whose chinchilla I'm adopting's cage comes with a lot of shelves in there already - made of plywood. Is this something that is dangerous for chins to chew on, or is it alright?

Plywood is not safe for chinchillas. Any man made wood is going to contain glue and other chemicals that they should not be ingesting.
