Ok....my chinchilla has been VERY naughtly recently and has chewed up every molding, chair, and loose bit of carpet in the basement area where I let her play:impatient:....I tried putting her in a play pen I used for my puppy, but she found every possible way to escape...under or over!!!!! Any playpen suggestions??? Can anyone describe to me their basic playtime routine...What toys do you use? Any little tips or tricks to occupy my chin? All will be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!

I use the Ware playpen. It has been exactly 12 months that I have been using it strictly for my chins. I've washed the bottom canvas floor a billion times and it still looks great. To me, it's definitely worth the money, between $75-99 for the "large" size. I have not had any escapes either.

As far as toys are concerned, I switch it up but mostly they have some play items as the chinnie chew chew train and play cubes.

There is plenty of room in there for wall-surfing as well...

I keep my chins in the bathroom during winter playtime (the summer "chin" house is completely chin proof) there's not much for them to chew in there if I pick everything up off the floor, and its easier to stop them if they do find something to chew. My chins stay occupied trying to climb up on every possible surface though, and only try to chew once they get tired and start roaming the floor.

Wow! That playpen looks great..I am definitely going to try to find something like that, and the chinnie chew chew is a must! Is there enough room for you to sit in there? I only have one chin and I feel like she would get lonely!

I almost bought that same pen! but instead I got one from petsmart that connects right up to my cage. I just open the door and let Izzy out to play and he loves it. Sometimes I leave it up for days at a time. I had to buy the cover seperately cuz he loves to jump and I know he would jump over it if it wasn't on there. You can also buy 2 pens and put them together for more room or I think you can just buy a connecter piece for just a bit more room. I love that thing. It's prolly the best investment I've made so far!

I also have that pen, though I took the bottom off so it was easier cleanup. I have hard wood floors so I just pick up the pen, fold it up and sweep up the mess.
