Pine Trees

Today me and my bf went on a walk and we came across a couple of pine trees, my question is would it be ok to make toys out of the branches and oven bake them, is there a difference from it being kiln dried and would the bark need to be taken off ??? I know they are untreated trees and it would be good if i could use them instead of buying the wood

are you able to confirm they are pine and not spruce? the reason i ask is because the two types of trees look so similar!

i wouldn't chance it personally. how are you able to know they have never been treated or sprayed, if they are not your trees?
