Seriously, having just adopted two dogs from an animal shelter, I love this, especially the last entry.

So many people just throw animals away, I just don't understand how...

Wow, that is very true.

I adopted my, at the time, 9 year old dachshund from a rescue society. I didn't know his story but I found it odd that he would keep going to a certain house while on a walk. One day I was walking him and there were people outside of that house. They asked if his name was Bailey and if I got him at the pound. I said, yes, his name is Bailey, but I got him from a rescue society. Well apparently it was their dog previously and they "had to take him to the pound because they were expecting their second baby” I just smiled at them and said "Well I bet he is much happier now." I walk by a month later and they have a collie puppy, a puppy, in their back yard. I don't get people, but Bailey is the best dog ever, and is now 14.

Sigh....
A biggee that we get at the rescue I volunteer with is people moving and you know it is just IMPOSSIBLE to move somewhere where they allow dogs.

Idiots. They have no shame.

I'm taking a chin back that I previously sold because the woman is having her second baby and it's just too expensive and time consuming to maintain that ONE caged chinchilla.

I'm glad to take him back, but it irritates me the excuses that people come up with. One chin is hardly so time consuming that your children will be neglected while you care for it, or your diaper budget will be cut into in caring for that ONE chinchilla.

The furniture comment above is so true. T told me about a person who brought in a dog to the shelter she works at because they got new furniture and she/he no longer matched. I thought at the time how sickening and rare that must be, but now I see it must have happened many times over to make the list.
