Hi everyone! I just have a question regarding hay. When we got our girl from the breeder, she was feeding her chins timothy hay. I noticed that Pepper wasn't eating her hay after a few weeks. By chance the pet store didn't have the hay I normally bought, so I got the botanical blend and she LOVES IT. Is this an ok option for her?

Thanks!

The hay you had could have been bad, she didn't like the blend, etc... Chins can be quite picky. I would try a new bag and if she still doesn't eat it, a new brand. I had mine on Oxbow hay until I bought a 5lb box of KMS hay. They both love it, though I'm not really a fan. The pieces are larger and I have to break them apart(I'm lazy XD) but it's worth it for them. XD

I think it is okay for the time being, but I would get regular timothy for her as soon as you can. All botanical is is timothy with extra stuff thrown in.

I feed mine timothy and botanical. They always have timothy available and I give them a handful botanical a few times a week.

Sure, you can feed Oxbow Botanical Hay – it is just timothy hay with a small amount of herbs.
