I have had chin a few months......he adjusted very well....I take him out of the cage every day....I know some live in the cage all there lives.....usually its an hour a day sometimes ill let him out in the morning as hes up then around 7 ish pm........

Basically will he get to spoiled....like today he was out a few hours and then he was mad and barking he got put back in the cage.....I know hes not hurt or in pain , and eating/pooping well....as soon as I come in the room he will stop barking.....

his cage has always nice toys and change of toys....I just dont want him to be bored

thoughts?

I agree with ^ - doesn't matter how long ours are out, they always want longer. That's just how they are.

Sounds like classic chin tantrum. They can be out 12 hours and still want out longer.

I had not ever thought about a tantrum ......it was so odd what he did to me he did seem mad he was really enjoying himself and having a ball last night...and then I spent a lot of time going to the chin cage he did bark when I first brought him home only 6 barks then stop....last night he was just angry hes calmed down now and enjoying his new sleepy hideaway

Ozzy is like a 2 year old. He has tantrums all the time. Even in his cage i will hand him a stick and he will throw it, all because he wants out. He will sit there and glare at me then bark. I just tell him to stop throwing his tantrum and he will be able to come out tomorrow. But he never listens lol

My girls go crazy when they get put back into their cage. They will try to throw around their litter pans, and get highly annoyed that they cant since tis attached to the cage. Eventuly they will get tired and start pawing at the litter itself

I have heard some chins do throw things....I think its kind of funny to picture little chin throwing wood or sticks in my direction lol....

last night was so great though we had a great bonding experience he must have been tired from the extra playtime he jumped onto my lap and let me snuggle him ..or it could have been the fleece I was wearing he liked....but he was so cuddly and quiet it was amazing I love animals so much
