Our first Chinchilla

The other night I walked in to the most presious little beauty, My new Chin. In fact Ava is my first Chinchilla but I love her so much already. Bath time is the best experience I've had yet and can't wait for all the other fun stuff.

If anyone has any good tips on bonding please let me know

Hi and welcome to the forum! Congrats on your new chinnie friend! Bonding just takes time and patience. Spend as much time as you can with your friend, and let her lead the pace - don't try to push too hard to bond. My chin took around a month to begin to feel comfortable in her new surroundings and with me, but the wait was worth it. She is a total sweetheart and is very comfortable with me and the rest of the family.

Hopefully we'll get to see pics of Ava!

my cappy

i have had my chin for a month as of today!

yay. currently trying to make my first batch of chin cookies. but i have actually taught my chin (cappy) a trick. ill be playing with him and ill say "give mama a kiss" and he will come up and rub his nose on mine!

its sooooooo adorable! he has warmed up so much and loves to see me come into his room just about as much as i love it!
