I have 2 chinchillas. I had been brushing them with a regular fine tooth comb since I got them. They turned 1 year old today. They are brothers from the same litter. I always brush them at the same time.
I got a new brush. I got the kind that is meant to be used for chinchillas. I brushed the first one and very little (almost no) hair came out but he had a lot of white skin flakes/dandruff in the hair that did come out. I brushed the other one and a TON of hair came out but no dandruff at all. I'm very confused. Can someone please help to explain why they had such different results from brushing today? Thank you!
