Had somewhat reasonable expectations, the first one was pretty cute and believable within it's own realm.

This one did not meet those. Felt like the movie was built around a couple of good jokes. Lots of loose ends, very unbelievable, and extremely, horribly cheezy in parts.

That said the kids in the theater (the bulk of the audience) seemed to love it and we did laugh a few times.

I was just disappointed, they could have done so much with it and made it an excellent movie from an adult prospective.

Went and saw it today before work. I enjoyed it, but its not as good as the first. The story was just scattered and I did like the main plot line of awakening the army to take over the world...I mean come on that's been done. Its not real believable. There could have been one of many reasons for him wanting the tablet.

There were some very funny parts. I liked that they were able to keep the the majority of the same cast. I wasn't real thrilled with some of the new characters though. I found General Custer very annoying. I know he was kind of supposed to be, but I just didn't think he added enough to the movie, apart from a few funny scenes/lines. Able was just adorable.

I did not like that the museum 'boss' from the first movie strayed from his character's funniest trait of not finishing sentences. Oh, and I thought they should have brought Rebecca back, or at least mentioned her (the one who studied Sacajawea in the first movie).

Even though I don't care for Ben Stiller, I did enjoy the first one. But I must say in my opinion alot of times when the first movie is good and they put out a second, the second one just is never as good as the first one.

I haven't seen it yet, nor have I even seen a trailer yet! But my kids are excited to see this movie as they loved the first one. But I agree, many movies suffer when they make a sequel...rarely are they as good as the first. Except for Star Wars, of course, which successfully made 6 movies!

we went yesterday and m y 9yr old son and DHreally enjoyed it. I agree that some parts are cheesy..ignore those and you will have a good time for sure!!

I thought the movie wasn't as good in the sense of storyline and plot and acting and whatnot... and while it wasn't as clever-funny, it was silly-funny and kept me giggling for most of it. i.e., not a great movie, but highly entertaining. I do wish they'd kept Rebecca around... what's with these series movies where the girl from each movie disappears and it's a new girl in each subsequent one? And while Custer was annoying, he wasn't around enough to annoy me a lot... I thought Amelia was less annoying per-minute-of-screen-time, but more-annoying-total. Heh. My favorite scene was toward the end with Larry and the MagLite.

And if this was a spring or summer night, as was sort of implied by the weather outside, they packed a lot of action into one night!
