Yeah my mom had a chinchilla years ago when i was little we had him for 5 years then he got stepped on and we had to put him to sleep it was heartbreaking! My mom was really upset and we haven't had chinchillas since then that was 1996. I am 24 and now have 2 and glad i got the boys they are very sweet and social. I have researched them for years in hope to get another one someday. Also didn't have money and space to keep them but now with a good steady job, time to play with them and even though my bf is sweet to let me keep him at his house till i move. He loves them to and knows how to care for them so when i am not at his house he can take care of them. I pretty much see him every other day. Since i got them i have been at his house since then.
