Thought I'd introduce myself, my name is Kelley and I live in WA State.
I have always had rats so I am new to chins.
My son is in the Air Force and a couple years back "inherited" a friends chin that he no longer wanted. Little Man was probably about 2-3yrs old than, I don't think he was handled a lot in his previous home because he is more of a loner even though Chad & I have both handled him a lot.
A year ago Chad was transferred to Hawaii so Little Man is staying with us until Chad comes back to the states.
After having rats I was so impressed that chins don't smell
I had my last two rats put to sleep because of tumors about a month ago. So now I am considering getting a chin for myself.
I would like a baby so hopefully it will like to be held.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Welcome! You will find that this is a GREAT place for info!

Welcome, Kelley!
Pass along thanks to your son for his service! :flagus:

Can't wait to see pics of Little Man! (And you'll soon learn...chinnies are like potato chips...once you have one...you can't stop!)
:needpics:

Welcome to the forum. Let me be the first to tell you chins are an addiction. Little Man is a cute name. I have on here named Little Dude.

Welcome!
If you get your chin from a breeder (as opposed to a pet store) it will probably be more comfortable with you handling it. Although, a chin who likes to snuggle with you is very rare.
