does anyone have pix of what a neutered male looks like? I think my Stitch is neutered?? His testicles are very very small, like little nubs. And Riches are huge more like large grapes.
I believe Stitch was from Petsmart........do they typically neuter their chins?

If he has testicles he is not neutered. A neutered chin would look like a non-neutered chin that has his hidden.

ETA: All of my males are small like pencil erasers or a pinky nail, I would be more concerned with the one that has them the size of grapes.

What age is stitch?

I would also worry about the Chin with the grape sized testicles...That would be Richie, right? Chinchillas testicles are no where near are big as that or those of hamsters or anything.

A neutured chin will have no testicles...When neutured the 'normal' way.

stitch is probably about 2ish. we dont know, we got him in january from craigs list.
i will see if i can get pix of both of them and post them.

Some times the males expose more of their testicles and they can appear quite large, like your one boy. Other times they're smaller like the tips of pencil erasers.

I don't know, I have saw my guys hung out all the way when they have been hot, and none of them are the size of grapes.

When both of our boys "let them hang," they're about the size of grapes as well (like half submerged grapes, if that makes sense - not like full dangling grapes)... but when they're retracted they're barely noticeable. I had always assumed the size was normal...

Yeah, I'm not imagining something like dangling grapes. They're more like grapes embedded in the body

Okay so this is blurry I wasn't going for a testicle shot (he moved). I had this already on my computer and you can see the size compared to his penis. This is what I consider normal when out.

Yes, that small size is normal too, but the larger exposed testicles is perfectly normal too (like the ones in the picture I posted)

I have a question: I have 2 male chins, a standard grey & a white violet carrier.
The standard grey is older & his testicles are always red & they're each the size of large raisins. You can see them from behind if he lifts his tail up.
Whereas the white violet carrier, his testicles are light pink (I'm not worried about that) but they always seem to be 'empty,' if you know what I'm saying. Is this normal? When I bought him from the breeder, she never mentioned anything about him being neutered (& I doubt she'd have spend money on neutering him).
Thanks.

They keep them tucked away sometimes, and sometimes they just let them out. It's opposite with mine, though. My older male keeps his tucked away, but the younger one just lets them hang out. I've heard it could be a temperature related thing, but I'm not sure.
