I am looking for a cage for a quaker... I used to have a quaker but he attacked everyone but me, and when it got to the point where he would fly across the room to attack my husband or kids it just wasn't fair to keep him anymore, for anyone. So I rehomed him with a nice couple, with no kids and another quaker. A friend of mine has a friend who raises birds and has some young blues available, so we're going to try again, I know it'll pick a favorite, but we're hoping at least no attacking the rest of the family...

I'm looking for a cage like this, but smaller... I like the play top and scatter guards but I can only seem to find them in big cages... anyone have suggestions?!

I usually don't see smaller ones like this unless I search for the older California style cages. I'd probably check craigslist. That's where most of mine have come from.

I'm looking there as well, of course I live in the middle of nowhere... lol. I'm planning on being in the Denver area next weekend though and am looking in that area as well.

I have that cage for my quaker parrot. I got it from Petsmart a year ago. I got lucky and got it on sale. I really like it.

We got our quaker earlier this year, and she is 10 years old. She is very bonded with me, and hates everyone else in the house. If I ever got another medium to large bird, I would get a hand-raised baby!

If you only lived closer! I have a small cage just like what your looking for, but like you had to look outside of my area. Spokane doesn't have a whole lot to offer like Seattle which is full of everything I want but only 4-5 hours away. Sigh....

Darn Christine, do you want to dis-assemble it and ship it to me?!

The one in the pic is large... and yea, I prefer a cage that I don't have to send a search team in to find the bird!

Picked him up tonight, my kids were scared he'd bite, and he hasn't bitten anyone! LOL my husband was even nice to "him" to get off to a good start. Our goal is to not have attacks or other habits we found annoying. Our last quaker literally had it's own room, because otherwise if it new we were eating, it would freak out. It's previous owners ate with it apparently and let it walk all over the table. I personally didn't mind so much as long as it wasn't into everything, but it really grossed my husband out when it ate of his plate, lol.

no, that certainly won't fit on your desk...unless you have a really, really...really big desk! ;)

I can't recall if you said...have you tried CL? I know my local CL always has cages for sale...
