Lady and Bella are weaning from each other, and Lady is currently being very "marish" so since I'm still not great around horses I have been spending much more time with Handsome as he's easy to handle.... so here's my boy!

Nice and bathed, and enjoying our walk:

Can't weight to see what he looks like once he gets his summer weight on him! Gorgeous boy!! I need to get up there and play with your ponies!

Thanks! I'm slowly turning jasons house into the farm it should be :)

I was surprised with 12 chickens and 6 ducks for my birthday from him. Of course 12 chickens isn't enough..so his aunt and I went and bought 24 more. We have 6 Bantoms, 12 Rhode Island Reds, and 12 Cornish Rocks (meat chickens). and 6 that i'm not sure what they are, but I believe they are also the meat chickens.

The ducks I believe to be Mallards. Now we need to go build a coop, and a pond for the ducks! The egg layers are mine, so we'll most likely breed them to produce some more next year and then use the eggs/sell some... The meat hens will be his aunts - i'm trying to convince her to breed this batch so we'll have more for next year but she's too excited for some home-raised chicken!

I love horses. Very nice, though I agree he needs to fatten up a bit. xD

Megan, I built a easy and inexpensive coop using sawhorse brackets. But instead of IDK 3ft legs I just used five 2"x4x"8ft boards. 1 for the top and four 8ft legs. Brace it and cover it with sheets of metal roofing.

Apparently he's how TB look when not being worked and without all the muscle built up. He's fine over the top, and hip bones are not showing so I've been told looking "ribby" is normal for them. Compared to the girls though, I was concerned so shoot the pics to his old owner to double check :)

I'll have to pass along the coop idea to Jason. The ones they sell in stores are crazy expensive and look like the wind would blow them over.
