I know this may seem a little personal…and totally random, but ever since I've had Handbag, I keep getting this recurring spot/pimple at the end of my nose. The red dot. It gets quite inflamed at times although it is in its down phase in this pic.

Now I don't really get a lot of blemishes at my age (49) so I'm wondering if this is something related to my nose kisses? allergies? It seems to appear every few days and then disappear only to reappear. I'm guessing it's totally unrelated but am just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

I have heard Preperation H the hemroid cream will reduce red inflamed blemishes. I don't know the cause? Maybe a metal allergy from touching the cage with your nose??

Good gosh, thank you for answering lol. I was thinking everyone was just rolling their eyes on this post.

It is very odd but you might be right. I was more concerned there was some chinchilla fungus for the nose I was unaware of. Heck, ya never know until you ask I guess.

I have no idea what it could be. Maybe try putting some sort of antibiotic ointment on it?

I don't know of any chinchilla-born fungus that affects peoples noses, hehe.

I was just thinking that it was just an excuse to post another cute picture of yourself!!! :neener:

I agree, it might be an allergy to metal. I have very sensitive skin and can only wear real gold or sterling silver, nothing with nickle or any other metals in it.

If it gets scaly or begins to bleed when rubbed, like when you wash your face, please have it looked at by a dermatologist. It just may be coincidence that it started when you got Handbag and it could be something else that shouldn't be ignored.

I saw your post the other day and didn't want you to think I was ignoring your advice. I live in Southern California so I'm always looking for sun spots, etc., especially because I have vitiligo on a part of my body.

I'm keeping an eye on it and while it has turned into more of a dry spot, I will give it a bit more time before going to the dermo. I totally agree with your advice of being careful, so thank you.
