So, I got home today after a long trip doing errands. There was a package at the post office for my husband.

I brought it inside and we opened it and he said, "Here's your present!" It was a Leatherman Juice in blue.

How romantic, right? :D I'll use it, I know I will...but doesn't my husband even realize that I am not a guy? Maybe I should start wearing skirts and dresses more often? hehehehe I love him though...

Oh, but then in the box is HIS Leatherman...so I guess my present was just a smokescreen?

That's what a Leatherman is, just in case you don't know. If you have an engineer in your life or someone else who messes with tools, you probably already know. :D

Thanks! I had no clue what a leatherman was. I was thinking a jacket or something.

Guys never pick out good gifts. At least I know my husband doesn't. He tries, but he just doesn't have the sense to know what a woman would really want. I love him anyway..lol.

I might have to get one of those now... they come in purple! lol. I've heard good things about Gerber as well. I shall have to research this... I need to get a gadget to keep in the car.

John, I guess, always wanted a Leatherman tool. I don't know why! LOL Mine is blue. Purple would have been better! Oh well. It has little scissors...that will actually come in handy. I'll be at a customers house and ask for scissors to trim whiskers for an intro or something...now I don't have to ask. :D

HAAAAAA!! Oh no, this was a MAN gift. I have a feeling that it won't be "mine" for that long. I could probably use a new cell phone...mine is old. (But, I can use the cell phone, it took me two years to figure out how to use the call waiting on that and how to look at the other things...)

Hey, I figure any gift is a good gift! Everyone on my FB knows that I went on a date Sat. with my hubby, we went out to eat... then to Menards ( think Home Depot type place ) to look around, lol.

Oh, and he did buy me a new toothbrush on our "date" as well, but only because he felt bad for stealing mine. It's okay I like this one better! I had a Sonicare, and this one is a newer "lower quality" type one, but I like it better because it fits my mouth better! WOO HOO!

Now... if anyone has gotten a drill as a gift we could get together and start a dentist office! I can clean, Susan can pull... and we need someone to drill!

LOL I miss Menards! That is a great store. That and Farm and Fleet...that was an awesome store - I could buy new sneakers and an alternator and shavings for the chins all under one roof.

We just have not so creative stores here...it sucks. Menards has a completely different feel than Home Depot or Lowes. It was a store to really look forward to going to just to see what they had...and they always have nice, fun employees. At Home Depot I am not treated very nicely at all...asking a question HURTS their employees' brains too much and they generally know less about their products than I do.

(That could just be the Home Depot near here...they are mean to me there...actually, people at stores are mean to me everywhere. I don't see a lot of people on a day to day basis...so I like to talk to people a bit and treat them like HUMAN BEINGS that are worthy of respect, they don't like that.)

I wouldn't complain about a Leatherman at all.

Want me to tell you what my husband bought me for our first anniversary?

I kid you not. Told me I needed to shave my legs!
Not to mention my $10 in gift cards from him to McDonalds for my X-mas gift, kinda classy eh?

I think I need a new husband.

Because he thinks he's a funny guy. More like he just puts himself deeper into the dog house each time he pulls those tricks. The last few years I've picked out my own gifts so that he doesn't have to do all the hard work ;-)

Hey, in red, I'd call that a heck of a choice! Then again, though, my last few major gifts that I requested or picked out for myself have included a sewing machine, a jitterbug sander, a 12 volt corded jig saw, a 5 gal shop vac, and a 15 volt cordless drill/driver. Home Depot is my toy store. :D At the old one, the lumber yard guy even knew me as "the girl with the funny pet".

Hey now, don't knock those little multitools! They can come in really handy.I borrow my husband's all of the time(translate "bring your little tool thing over here and fix ....). Plus just between us girls if it has the pliers on it-it's really handy. Most of us here are farm folks and we know what a bloodness castrator is- it only took me one time to threaten my hubby with it(tool is very small and can be easily hidden) and he straightened right up!:hilarious:
