My new avatar

As much as I LUV Mick St. John and Alex O'Loughlin and all my chins, I've decided to put the beautiful Farrah Fawcett as my avatar. I will celebrate her kindness, her courage and her beauty with a month of mourning. I feel so sad Farrah's passing has been so overshadowed by the death of Michael Jackson.
I relate to Farrah. She is a beautiful woman, with a courageous spirit, who publicly battled cancer for 3 years. She reminds me so much of my beautiful sister Lisa.
Cancer destroys so much, your hair, your smile, your skin, your appetite. But it didn't destroy Farrah's will to live as it has not destroyed Lisa's will to live. I see in these two very different woman, someone very much the same--a fighter.
If anyone else is interested in using Farrah as their avatar for my month of mourning please let me know, I'm happy to share!

Cancer can take a lot of things from the people it infects, but it cannot never take your spirit or your soul.

My mom and I have been talking about Farrah for months. She definitely was a fighter to the very end. I think that Farrah looks just like the picture in the poster up in heaven. I remember that poster very vividly in my brother's bedroom. Thanks for sharing Laurie.

She was such a sweet, beautiful woman, people always told me I looked like her when I was in college, which is a great compliment! She is an angel now, and in no pain and on those beautiful streets of gold. I bet she is the life of the party in heaven!
