Ok, I'm not sure where to post this...
My little Tribble is six months old today. He lives in a FN142 cage which is placed beside his mom and sister's cage- also an FN142 (with a gap of about 8-10 inches in between). Chichi (mom) is two years old this June and Tia (sister) is six months as well. Last night, Tribble was in a cranky mood. I was in there playing with everybody and Tribble starting making weird noises. He started to hump his cuddle buddy a bunch of times. He was shaking while he was doing it. I felt bad for the little guy.
Meanwhile, Chichi was going crazy. She was running around the bottom of her cage looking for a way out. I'm assuming she is in heat?
Is there anything I should do here? The cages are far enough apart that nothing could happen, but is there anything I can do to diffuse the situation and make Tribble more comfortable? I was thinking maybe move the cages further apart, like on the other side of the room. Would this make a difference? What do you think?
