For 2 days straight, we had some guests over so my chinchilla was exposed(lol) to them and now i'm looking at him and he has that evil glare on and sitting quietly in the corner. Plus, apparently he was lose in the house so my mom had to get him to put him back into his cage and she grabbed him by his tail to put him back in. I was so mad at her for that but.. it's my fault for not being more careful about his safety. Anyways, is he just shocked? I'm worried.. Please help :(

Im sure he is a little annoyed. And probably scared during that whole ordeal. Being defencive and little less active is not uncommon. Id jsut keep an eye on him. Make sure theirs nothing rong that you can see. Give him time to calm down and get over it.

Grabbing him by the tail may have frightened or annoyed him, but it doesn't hurt them as long as it is done close to the body. Give him time, he'll get over the whole ordeal.
